Regina Daniels’ mum, Rita Daniels was disqualified at the recently held Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN national elections.
Rita Daniels contested for the AGN Vice President, South-South and she was disqualified following the electoral constitution.
Daniels and Ikechukwu Ezenagu were disqualified because they were absent at the election.
According to the election chairman, the AGN constitution says proxy voting for, against or candidature is not applicable during elections.
Meanwhile, Femi Branch, Monalisa Chinda, and Emeka Rollas, who also contested for different positions have emerged victorious.
News first filtered into town that Rita Daniels was vying for a seat at the national seat of the Actors Guild of Nigeria in July 2019.
In August 2019, some of Rita’s supporters took to social media to campaign for her while others began canvassing members of the guild on her behalf.
Earlier in October 2019, the AGN Electoral Commission Chairman, Steve Eboh announced Rita Daniels as one of the members cleared to vie for an elective position in AGN.
The national election of the Actors Guild of Nigeria held on Thursday, October 31, 2019, in Akwa Ibom.
Over 187 delegates from 22 states attended and voted during the elections, which was supervised by AGNEC Chairman, Steve Eboh and Emma Ogugua.
